At the Insurance Industry Awards ceremony held at Berns on 22 April 2015, Vinge partner Per Johan Eckerberg received the Insurance Profile of the Year award.
The Insurance Profile of the Year award is given to persons who have made significant contributions to the insurance industry. Last year’s award winner was Gunnar Olsson, who received the award for his invaluable, pioneering work championing consumer rights during his 30 year tenure as Head of Swedish Consumers Insurance Bureau.
The other award categories at the Insurance Awards 2015 included Life Insurance Company of the Year, Non-life Insurance Company of the Year, Life Insurance Broker of the Year, Non-life Insurance Broker of the Year, Insurance Industry Innovation of the Year, Insurance Industry Marketing of the Year and Future Employers in the Insurance Industry.
The jury’s statement of reasons reads as follows: “Advokat Per Johan Eckerberg specializes in insurance law and has been advising the insurance industry for 25 years. He is one of Sweden’s leading insurance lawyers as demonstrated in various international rankings. He is the author of the Insurance Manual and holds two prominent chairmanships in Insuresec’s Disciplinary Committee and in the Swedish ICC’s Financial Services and Insurance Group.”
Per Johan began his acceptance speech as follows:
“I am greatly honoured and happy to have received this prestigious award. None of the honour bestowed on me today would have been possible however without the back-up and support which I have received from Advokatfirman Vinge’s fantastic insurance practice group led by Fabian Ekeblad and with advokat Malin van den Tempel and associates Axel Hedberg and Lisa Johansson as the mainstay thereof. It makes things an awful lot easier of course to have had the privilege of working with such a fantastic team.”
