Louise Brorsson Salomon is a partner at Vinge and this spring she will succeed Maria-Pia Hope, who has been the CEO since 2012. The change in the position of CEO follows a long-term succession plan. The board of directors' assignment to Louise Brorsson Salomon is to continue to develop Vinge's service offering, safeguard Vinge's clients, attract the best law students and ensure that Vinge continues to be a positive actor in society.
Louise Brorsson Salomon has been with Vinge since 2005 and she has been a partner since 2015. She is Head of Banking and Finance practice in Stockholm and is an internationally recognised and top-ranked adviser. During her career at Vinge, she has participated in some of the most important and high-profile transactions in the Swedish business community.
“I have been at Vinge for most of my professional life, and today Vinge feels in many ways as if it is part of my DNA. I am happy and proud to have been entrusted to continue to develop our successful full-service business together with the rest of our talented teams. Leadership issues are close to my heart, and I bring my experience from client work and from leading the Banking and Finance group into the CEO role. My task is primarily to continue on Vinge's path, with a focus on further strengthening our position as a leading business law firm in the Nordic region," says Louise Brorsson Salomon.
“Louise is the board's first choice as new CEO after Maria-Pia. We are convinced that Louise has the leadership qualities and determination required to lead one of the largest law firms in the Nordic region into the future," says Johan Winnerblad, Vinge’s chairman of the board of directors.
“At the same time, the board and I are impressed by, and grateful for the manner in which, Maria-Pia has led Vinge's journey towards increased growth, gender equality, client focus and sustainability in an outstanding and consistent manner," Johan Winnerblad continues.
“Leading Vinge for more than a decade has been a privilege, but it is also a challenging job which imposes its own demands. Now that Vinge is standing firm, it is natural for me to hand over to the next generation, and I am pleased that it is Louise who is taking over. Louise and I have worked closely together for many years, and I know that she is a modern and empathetic leader. I cannot imagine a better successor," says Maria-Pia Hope.
Vinge, which last year celebrated its 40th anniversary and reported a record turnover of SEK 1.6 billion for 2022, has 535 employees and is one of the leading law firms in the Nordic region.
