Vinge advises Gotlandsbolaget in connection with ship sales

November 30, 2022 Maritime and Transport Law M&A

Gotlandsbolaget and its subsidiary Gotland Tankers have implemented four successful sales of the tankers M/T Gotland Carolina, M/T Gotland Sofia, M/T Gotland Aliya andM/T Gotland Marieann respectively.

The ships are built between 2006 and 2008 in the Gotland Class series. Vinge has advised Gotlandsbolaget throughout the transaction and provided advice in conjunction with contract negotiations, delivery of the ships as well as deregistration from the Bahamian shipping register.

Vinge’s team consisted of Paula Bäckdén and Hanna Marberg supported by  Amelia Rihs  as well as Petronella Hallberg regarding company law issues. The sales mean that all ships of the Gotland Class series have been sold and, according to Gotlandsbolaget, this is part of the company’s strategy to focus even more on industrial shipping and infrastructure.
