Stricter cybersecurity requirements ahead - how companies can prepare for the new rules

Against the backdrop of the current geopolitical climate and the increasing digitalisation, the EU is implementing the NIS 2 directive with the aim to strengthen the level of cyber resilience throughout the EU. The new rules are proposed to be introduced in Sweden through a new law, the Cybersecurity Act, which is proposed to enter into force on 1 January 2025. The law imposes increased requirements in relation to information and cyber security and non-compliance can have serious financial consequences.

EU Economic Security Strategy – proposals for a new FDI regulation, outbound investment and export controls

On 24 January 2024, the European Commission adopted a package identifying five new initiatives to strengthen the economic security of the EU. The basis for the initiatives is the EU Economic Security Strategy announced in June 2023. The primary objective of the strategy is to reduce the risks related to EU trade and investment involving third countries, as well as promoting EU competitiveness and growth.

Louise Brorsson Salomon is a partner at Vinge and this spring she will succeed Maria-Pia Hope, who has been the CEO since 2012. The change in the position of CEO follows a long-term succession plan.
